Fancy a career in spectator safety?

Sporting Force and Blue Apple Training are delivering a training plan in partnership for Veterans. The qualifications cover health, safety and security, customer service to help spectators have a safe and enjoyable experience at the event.These qualifications can lead to or help the following job roles:

- Event steward (sport, music, etc)

- Security officer/Manager

- Football safety officer

- Spectator safety staff (festivals, carnivals, marches)

- Event volunteer

Course 1 - Put on your Game Face - BTEC Accredited qualification 

Mon Jan 22 to Thurs 24th then Mon 29th and Wed 31st of January 2018 

Timings: 9 to 5 each day.
This course is designed to build confidence and develop the right skills to gain sustainable employment in events and sports spectator safety. It is very interactive to help improve communication and team working skills in a civilian setting.

Course 2 - Spectator Safety Award LVL 2. Dates TBA Feb 2018

The qualification will provide veterans with the necessary skills, knowledge and competence across areas including preparing for events, controlling and monitoring spectators and managing conflict appropriately.
The Focus Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety (RQF) meets the minimum requirements defines in the Green Guide: Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds. This enables learners to steward at live match events as well as other live spectator events.

Progression Routes

These qualifications will help start your career in spectator safety however veterans wishing to progress from this qualification can opt to undertake the following qualifications:
Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety
Level 4 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety Management
Licence to Practise qualifications e.g. Door Supervision or Manned Guarding
Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Advanced Spectator Safety
