Put Your Support behind

Sporting Force

Become A Volunteer

If you would like to volunteer your time to help our cause, we can promise a rewarding experience. Volunteers are incredibly important to us, and not only do they provide an invaluable service, but by doing so they allow us to direct maximum funds to help each and every person in need. To talk to us about volunteering, please email us at info@sportingforce.org.

Become a Fundraiser

There are so many ways you can raise funds for Sporting Force and help us to help everyone who needs our support in creating their new life. We are busily working on putting our fundraising pack together, but we don’t want that to stop anyone from becoming one of our first official fundraisers and getting involved from the very start. Please email us at info@sportingforce.org and let us know your idea.

If you have any suggestions of ways that you can support us that you don’t think we have covered, please email us at info@sportingforce.org.

Challenge yourself for us

If you’ve always fancied a skydive, but never got round to it, now’s the time! It’s easier than you may think……..

To skydive is one of the most exhilarating experiences of a lifetime and to jump from a perfectly good plane for a cause close to your heart is even more rewarding.  Looking out of the plane windows, you’ll be thinking, “am I really going to jump out of the door?” Then, you’re asked the most important question of the day. Are you ready to skydive? The answer is absolutely yes!

Sitting on the edge of the plane, yes really, the wind rushing by, blue sky above, the Durham Heritage Coast below, there’s only a couple of seconds before you’re off, out and skydiving!  The feeling is like no other and nothing can prepare you for the breath-taking rush of free fall. This is the closest you’ll get to flying. You’ll have about 30 seconds of free fall with a 10,000 feet skydive and when the parachute opens, the canopy ride down is the total opposite; a calming bliss. The views are unbelievable.

Once on the ground, the buzz will stay with you forever. Your smile and sense of achievement in facing your fear and doing it anyway is immeasurable.

The main aim is for you to be rewarded for your bravery in sponsorship for Sporting Force So please raise as much as you can.

The Tandem Skydive up to 10,000 feet for charity is £195.00 per person and requires a £35pp non refundable deposit to secure your place. Any money raised over the £195.00 goes directly to Sporting Force and allows us to help even more veterans create their new lives.  Please give me a ring or drop me an e mail and let’s get you booked in for the most intense, fulfilling experiences of your life.

Mount Kilimanjaro Trek 23rd of Feb to 4th of March 2018

Climb the highest freestanding mountain in the world! Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain on the African continent at 5896m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.

Our trek takes the Machame route, allowing gradual acclimatisation to the altitude and an excellent chance of reaching the summit. We pass through thick forest, moorland and scree en route to Uhuru Peak, the highest point. This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive mountains in the world.

Cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats, 12th to 24th of June 2018

The furthest possible distance in the British Isles, is a classic challenge that many dream of. Starting at Land’s End on the south-westerly tip of England, we pedal our way through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District into Scotland, via lochs and the Highlands to the North Coast and John O’Groats.

In all we will cover roughly 1000 miles, passing through some of the most stunning and remote countryside in the British Isles. This is a tough challenge but a fabulous way to see the country, and one of the most rewarding things you will ever do!

  • Lands End to John O’Groats Cycle 13 days
  • Mount Kilimanjaro Trek 10 days
  • Freedom Trail - one of the toughest WW2 escape routes from Nazi-occupied France 7 days

By committing to completing a fund-raising challenge for Sporting Force you are ensuring that the charity can continue to make a difference to our armed forces veterans lives.

These events are not a holiday you will be challenging yourself to the limit. We believe that going above and beyond to make a difference to the life of another and fulfilling a lifetime goal are things that everyone should have the opportunity to do. Any individual (over the age of 18) can participate and fundraise for the charity. We give you all the trip information you need when you submit an enquiry.

You have a choice of fundraising options:

  • Fundraising; pay your registration fee and commit to raising a set target for charity.
  • Part-Payment; pay your registration fee, pay a set contribution towards your trip cost and commit to fundraise a set amount. This plus any further fundraising over the set amount all goes to your chosen charity.
  • Full-Payment; pay your registration fee and pay the full amount of your trip cost. There is no fundraising target 100% of the monies you raise go direct to our charity. If you feel up to the challenge

Taking part in something which tests your limits on so many levels gives you an unforgettable achievement which does make you stop, think and reassess. We attract some pretty remarkable and inspiring individuals to come on our challenges.
