We want to better understand, measure and communicate our impact. We’re looking at this in different ways, so we can build up an overall picture. The benefits of recording this information are that we can say more about the impact of our funding than just £ spent and number of projects; we can identify what works well (and less well) and share this information with others.
You will be asked at stages during your involvement with Sporting Force to complete reviews, so we can compare the data and assess the impact.
Sporting Force works in partnership with other charities and organisations to deliver our programme of activities and training. In some cases, your contact details may have to be shared with a partner organisation that you are engaged with.
When a beneficiary is on a trip or a residential course there may be an emergency so our partner charity or organisation may need to contact your next of kin. Please be assured that the other parties will also comply with GDPR and will treat your information with care and according to the law.
When Sporting Force report to funders or report on their impact participants names are not used. Each veteran is allocated a Sporting Force reference number, and this is used to ensure anonymity.
Your photo and name will only be used when we have your consent to do so.
We never share your information with organisations outside our charity for marketing purposes. We collect your information to enable the charity to offer you the support, training and opportunities that you have requested.
We hold your information for the duration of your engagement with the charity. We will hold your contact information to enable us to notify you of new opportunities and services.
If you request removal from our systems this will be completed within a working day. You will be required to register again via the website if you wish to engage with the charity again.
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at the charity’s registered address. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date.
You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
