Level 1 FA Coaching Course fully funded for Wounded, injured or sick (WIS) Veterans
and WIS Serving personnel.
There are various strands in The FA’s coach education pathway. The “core” strand comprises of The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football through to The FA Level 5 (UEFA Pro) in Coaching Football. The first step for new coaches is to take The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football. This course provides the beneficiary with an introduction to coaching the game and working with players from under seven to open age.
The course is coordinated by the FA delivered by professional instructors at Tedworth House Recover Centre. The beneficiary will gain their hands on experience during a placement with their local club on completion of the guided learning.
Venue: Tedworth House, Tidworth, Wiltshire, SP9 7AJ
Date: 23rd - 26th April 2019 (It is a 4 day residential course, with guys/girls staying at Tedworth House.
Course and accommodation is provided with this course, however food and travel cost must be met by attendee. Tedworth House does have cooking facilities should you wish to make your own meals or there is a cafeteria available.

What you will need:
Kit- Indoor and outdoor training kit (inc football boots/trainers)
As this is a residential course, you will need enough kit for all 4 days. You may wish to bring casual wear for down time.
There maybe a requirement to do practical elements of the course on the evenings.
Each participant MUST then complete a 6 week (18 hours in total) voluntary placement working alongside a Level 2 Coach.
Please note that 100% course attendance and the voluntary placement are required to pass the course.
In the future there will be opportunities for participants to go on to complete Level 2 FA coaching and Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Learning in Physical Education and School Sport.
All attendees must be Wounded, injured or sick serving/ex serving military personnel and will be required to show eligibility to apply for the course. This will either be, medical discharge papers, a diagnosis letter or war pension letter. A picture of the document will suffice, as long as it is clear and can be read.
If over subscribed, the course will go to a ballot.
If selected attendees are employed, you must show us conformation of holidays book from employer before we can reserve a place on the course.
