Weekly Support Group - Outdoor Activities

  • PTSD

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Traumatic Brain Injuries

  • Behavioural Issues

  • Abuse Issues

Walking is one of the most accessible forms of exercise. It’s the perfect way to keep you healthy, active and reduce your chances of getting sick and it doesn’t cost you a penny. Getting out into nature and going for a walk is also great for your mental wellbeing.

We have some land which we are keen for veterans to get involved in some of the work we intend to carry out which includes the building of a polytunnel, in which veterans will be able to grow produce in the future. Other tasks include log splitting, digging and building fences. These tasks will improve wellbeing and bring back that sense of teamwork and team bonding.

Additionally, hot meals and beverages will be provided.

Support Sessions

These sessions will be held both indoors at our office in Newton Aycliffe. We will also hold outdoors sessions at a piece of land we have acquired in Butterknowle, Bishop Auckland. Sessions will include:
